My family thinks I'm wasting money feeding stray cats

Every time I share with my family the interesting things that have happened in the stray cats I've been feeding lately, my family will habitually retort to me: you can't even feed yourself well, and you're going to waste money feeding stray cats, and you're not even dedicating any money to supporting us!
