St. Raphael’s Demolished—Why?!

St. Raphael School in Morningside is being torn down, and it’s not to make way for something new—just gone for good. It’s wild to think Gene Kelly went there, and now it’s just memories and rubble. Some old schools get turned into cool things like senior homes, but not this one. Apparently, low enrollment and asbestos sealed its fate. It’s just sad to see a place with so much history disappear.
