Kirkjufell looks exactly like the photos—sharp, impossible, almost fake. I stood there, camera in hand, surrounded by people who all wanted the same shot. For a second, I wondered if I was even seeing it, or just ticking off a box I’d seen online a hundred times. Nobody tells you how lonely it feels to chase a place everyone else has already claimed. I kept waiting for awe to hit, but mostly I just felt small. The mountain didn’t care if I was there. Maybe that’s what I needed: a reminder that not every destination is about me, or about being moved. Sometimes you just stand there, and it’s enough. #Travel #TravelRealityCheck #SoloTravelTruth
