Gun Ranges Are Getting a Makeover?

Ever thought a gun range could feel more like a community center than an action movie set? Shooter’s World in Arizona is flipping the script—making their ranges clean, welcoming, and safe for everyone, from first-timers to pros. The big shift? They’re all about education and empowerment, not intimidation. Whether you’re a mom wanting to learn self-defense or just curious, their classes and friendly staff make it easy to get started. It’s proof that even the most old-school businesses can reinvent themselves for today’s world. #Business #CommunityFirst #SafeSpaces

I have visited many firing ranges. I have never been to a range that was about intimidation. Safe firearm education and ownership, yes, many times. I can't imagine a firing range staying in business long that teaches intimidation without losing their license. They actually want you to understand range safety and for you to be familiar with your firearm before you actually go out to the range. And the range officers are always watching for those that are not practicing firearm safety. Maybe I have yet to visit a range that doesn't practice safety, just aggressiveness and intimidation. I'm glad there are not any near where I live.

All the guns clubs and ranges that I've used over 50+ years of shooting have been doing this already for decades. Nothing new, just common courtesy. I've seen many young women come up through the shooting sports with help and guidance, intimidation non-existent.

I don't think I've ever been to a range that is intimidating. I was a member of one on minnesota that was more of a clubhouse where people sat around playing cards, watching sports games, having birthday parties for their kids, and of course shooting.
