Nisei Week Kicks Off with Queens & Gratitude

Nisei Week just launched in Little Tokyo and it’s packed with tradition, community pride, and some serious queen energy! Seven queen candidates were introduced, and the whole festival is embracing the theme of “Kansha” (gratitude) this year. Expect epic parades, dance-offs, taiko drumming, a baby show, and tons of Japanese cultural events through Aug. 17.
