A group of ordinary people live in the slums of Annawadi, India. Severe inequality did not lead to rebellion, but rather to near-self-destructive efforts, sacrifices, speculation, and creativity under existing conditions. I saw countless lives and the demise of one life after another, with little hope in sight. Numbness has long replaced despair, and each attempt is swallowed by a sense of powerlessness. Death and misfortune can strike at any moment. Even when the Abdus family finally achieved justice, they were forced to continue scavenging for a living. So where are the equality and security that those in power keep shouting about? Why must some people endure suffering their entire lives, constantly worrying about basic necessities? #Entertainment#Photography#PortraitPhotography#Poverty#Slums
