Walmart's Surveillance: Too Much or Just Enough?

Ever wondered what Walmart workers see at self-checkout? Turns out, their tablets show every item you scan—and every item you don’t. With real-time tracking, missing groceries are instantly flagged, making shoplifting nearly impossible. But is this level of surveillance a smart move against theft, or does it cross the line into policing shoppers? Would you feel comfortable knowing every scan is watched? Let’s talk: does this tech protect us or just make us uneasy? #Tech #RetailTech #SurveillanceDebate

Only a thief would be concerned. The rest of us understand having to safeguard against criminal elements.

I dont mind ghat .what i do mind is having their creepy they have follow you around everywhere. I could see if someone actually had stolen something, but they put these people on you for no reason. and being a woman, having a woerd guy follow me into we baby or bra section...that's scary..

Too much. I work there and they have tons of new monitors and cameras to spy on employees too They treat everyone like criminals spying on them yet expect good morale and to retain employees. The company deserves to go bankrupt and needs replaced by Costco. Most managers are awful and need to go
