Hocking Hills State Park isn’t a secret, but it feels like one when you’re there alone on a weekday. I thought I’d be inspired—maybe even healed—by the waterfalls and caves. Instead, I felt exposed. Not in a bad way, just honest. The trails are quiet enough that you hear your own breathing. The air smells like wet stone and moss. I kept thinking I’d have some big realization, but mostly I just noticed how loud my thoughts were when no one else was around. Sometimes you travel to get lost in a crowd. Sometimes you travel to see if you can stand your own company. I’m still not sure which one I needed. #Travel #TravelConfessions #NatureSolitude
