I drove to Tallulah Gorge because I needed to feel small. Not the Instagram kind of small—just a person, standing at the edge of something ancient, with no one asking me to smile for a photo. The air smelled like rain and pine needles. I watched the river cut through the rock and realized I hadn’t checked my phone in hours. I thought I’d hike, maybe take a few pictures, but I ended up just sitting on a rock, letting the quiet get under my skin. There’s no epiphany here. Just a place that let me stop pretending I was okay. Sometimes you find a spot that doesn’t fix you, but lets you rest. That was enough. #Travel #TravelConfession #NatureSolitude
