Hey everyone, I'm really struggling here and could use some honest advice 😔 I just landed my first "real" job at 22, and they're paying me $42k annually. My expenses are pretty manageable - $963 for rent, $176 for my phone plan, and $200 for insurance. No car payments or kids to worry about. My girlfriend and I live with family, which helps a lot. She makes around $40k too and covers groceries while my parents handle the remaining bills. We're making it work, but I can't shake this feeling that I might be selling myself short. Is $42k decent for someone my age in today's market? I see friends making way more, and it's got me questioning if I should've negotiated harder or kept looking. Part of me feels grateful to have steady income, but another part wonders if I'm limiting my potential. What do you think? Should I stick it out and prove myself, or start hunting for something better? Really need some perspective here! 🤷♂️✨ #JobCareer #CareerAdvice #SalaryTalk
