Never Cut Your Line When Snagged 🚫

What the heck kind of article is this? It tells us what NOT to do. But doesn't offer other solutions or suggestions? Based on the reading, I guess we're supposed to just leave the whole rod and reel at that location just to keep the line intact? <- scary to think there are people who might think that's a real solution.

You all missed the point of my comment. It was about how the article nagged about not breaking the line so fish won't get tangled. But the article offered no alternative solutions. Kind of like how parents tell their children they need to learn to do something, e.g., control their temper, but don't tell or teach them how to do it. BTW, I'm in my 60's and have been fishing since I was 8. I know how to work a snag free, or pull line tight so it snaps at the hook.

that's why you should never you straight braided line always use a weaker leader mono or floro.

I used braided with a mono lighter leader for this reason

Well if ya want me not to cut the line than I suggest ya clean the rocks sticks branches etc. out of the waters because Iam not waiting for entirely for hook to release itself
