We typed 'world's most dangerous hike' into Google and ended up clinging to a plank nailed into the side of Mount Huashan. Harness clipped in, feet shaking, I tried not to look down at the drop—just enough space for my toes, and nothing but air beneath. It’s the kind of thing you do for the story, but halfway across, I realized I wasn’t thinking about bragging rights. I was thinking about how quiet fear is, how it makes you hyper-aware of your own heartbeat. We made it across. I didn’t feel brave. I just felt small, and alive, and oddly grateful for every boring, safe sidewalk I’d ever walked. #Travel #TravelWithoutFilters #FearIsReal
