Should You Grab Social Security at 62?

Thinking about when to start cashing in on Social Security? Dave Ramsey says, why wait—take it at 62! His logic: you never know how long you’ll be around, so you might as well enjoy the money now. The catch? Your monthly checks will be smaller for life. If you don’t need the cash right away, Ramsey even suggests investing it yourself. It’s a classic ‘get your money while you can’ move, but make sure it fits your own life plan! #Business #MakeMoney #RetirementHacks

Keep in mind that if you choose to take it at 62 you will get 30% less for the rest of your life and you don't receive Medicare until you reach 65.

planned ahead late in my career ,downsized paid everything off,and retired at 62 and get by just fine .Enjoy life while you still have the energy!. I actually feel better mentally and physically as I make sure I spend at least a few hours a day tinkering in my shop and doing projects around the house

My wife waited for full retirement and died 2 months later and because she died mid month they clawed back her 2nd payment. Take it as early as possible. The crossover point is like 85.

They're talking about cutting off SS in 2032 anyway, so time is winding up for closer.

I went back to work full time at my old company at age 70. I’m working with younger workers who call me grandpa and look up to me for financial advice and other things. We have fun every day here and laugh our asses off. I got tired of the retired life fast. I have no hobbies and i get to travel in my company vehicle to support our facilities every day. I’m going to work until I die. Suddenly I Hope. 😲
