Youngerman’s Journey: From NAIA Champ to Philly

How about Sean Youngerman’s rise? The new Phillies arm, who just signed after being picked in the 4th round, started out as a freshman at tiny Westmont College and helped the Warriors win the NAIA national title in 2023. Not many saw him as a future pro back then, but his gutsy World Series outing vs. top-seeded Southeastern kept Westmont’s bullpen fresh and was a turning point.
