“A woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction.” — Virginia Woolf, A Room of One’s Own When I first read this in college, I thought she meant literally a room. Now I know: she meant space. Not just physical, but mental, emotional, intellectual. She meant: space to think without interruption. Space to write without guilt. Space to exist without justification. Every time I try to write, to think, to create, and I hear that internal voice saying “this isn’t important,” I think of Woolf. She knew how revolutionary it was for women to claim time and space for themselves. And in 2025, we’re still fighting for it. 🖋 If you’re a woman trying to carve out your own space — you’re not alone. And you’re doing something radical. #Entertainment #Books #VirginiaWoolf
