NIH’s Kitten Experiments Spark Outrage

The NIH is under fire for funding experiments where 2-month-old kittens have their hearts surgically altered, then are euthanized—all while promising to phase out dog and cat testing. Animal rights groups and lawmakers are calling it taxpayer-funded cruelty, but NIH says it’s for developing heart treatments for both cats and humans. Meanwhile, a new bipartisan bill could finally put an end to these controversial studies. What do you think—necessary science or crossing the line? #Pets #AnimalTesting #NIH

this is only animals being abused this does not prove anything positive this needs to be stopped before these poor kitties suffer so much pain the people who do the experience are sick and should be arrested for animal abuse 🙏

so if there are those who say it's okay if it's to benefit humans I got a better idea USE a HUMAN. I mean we humans have everything in common with humans so why test cats

Maybe some of those people should have done to them and see how it feels to be put through some pointless/ useless experiment done on them and be told they'll be put down. I am not a fan of animals being experimented on, as they can't tell you how they feel, not to mention that their bodies aren't geared for it. And worse of all, they are just babies.
