I just read that NASA is planning to lay off nearly 4,000 people. Voluntary or not, that’s thousands of insanely smart, experienced folks walking out the door — and taking decades of irreplaceable knowledge with them. Honestly, this hits hard. NASA isn’t just some random agency — it's one of the few institutions that still inspires people across generations. From landing on the Moon to sending rovers to Mars, it’s built on the backs of engineers, scientists, and mission planners whose expertise you can’t just replace with a new hire or AI system. A group of current and former NASA employees even wrote a letter (called the “Voyager Declaration”) basically begging the new acting head to reconsider, saying this will cripple missions. We talk a lot about pushing the frontier of science and exploration, but then we do stuff like this? It's short-sighted and sad. You don’t build the future by discarding the past. #NASA #Layoffs
