Tons of folks love catching bass, but not eating them—why is that? I’ve tried it, and it’s... okay, but not amazing. Curious what others think. Is it taste, texture, or just tradition?

Bass is damn tasty. Y'all are out of your fricken mind. catfish are also tasty, as well as Pollock, flounder, whitefish.

Fresh water fish have that muddy taste. Saltwater fish are where the flavor is

bass is probably one of my favorite fish, I know how to flay them so there's no bones, make a good beer batter and there very tasty

it's how you fillet them what counts. take the outside off. make sure to get all the bones out. then either dip them in milk and flour then cook. you won't get that bad taste
