Eighteen years after a tragic helicopter crash took the life of beloved Arizona’s Family photojournalist Jim Cox, his legacy is still shaping the future of journalism in Phoenix. The James Alan Cox Foundation, started by his family, has already given out 200 scholarships and dozens of cameras to aspiring photojournalists across the country. Local students, especially those at ASU’s Cronkite School, have gained hands-on newsroom experience thanks to internships funded by the foundation. It’s incredible to see how one person’s passion can inspire so many. How do you think supporting young journalists impacts the stories we see every day? #Safety #Phoenix #Photojournalism
