Everyone says McAfee Knob is the crown jewel of the Appalachian Trail. I hiked up, expecting some kind of revelation. The view is dramatic—endless blue ridges, the kind you see on postcards or Instagram feeds. But standing there, camera in hand, I realized I was just another person trying to prove I’d been somewhere. The wind was cold. My legs ached. I took the photo anyway, but it felt like I was borrowing someone else’s memory. Maybe the trail is supposed to change you. Yesterday, it just reminded me how easy it is to feel small, even in the most celebrated places. #Travel #TrailConfessions #NotJustAPhoto
