Everyone talks about Norway’s wild beauty, but standing by the glacier-fed water in Mauranger, I felt more like a stranger than a local. The blue-green shimmer was almost fake—like someone turned up the saturation just for me. I grew up a few hours from here, but I never visited until now. I thought seeing it would make me feel more connected to my own country. Instead, I felt like a tourist with a Norwegian passport, trying to belong somewhere I was supposed to know. Sometimes, the places closest to home are the hardest to claim. Maybe that’s why I never posted the photo until now. #Travel #HomeButNotHome #TravelConfessions
