If they go back and whatever cottage they move into you know she's going to want to spend a fortune redecorating and a new wardrobe too! She doesn't wear "humble" on her face very well either! IF she goes back I'm not sure how well she'll be received by the public or the royal staff.

How quaint! I think Fort Belvedere would be excellent for The Prince of Wale's family of 5 to relocate! Loads more space for the children to grow up with ideal privacy for the whole family! Thus, removing the stigma of The Fort currently only remembered as quarters of the abdication crisis. Seeing as Royal Lodge is being held hostage by the current dishonorable Royal outcast The Duke of York! (Now he's definitely a waste of money. )
