I sent my friend an Instagram reel of someone testing the Neutrogena ā€œUltra Sheer Dry-Touchā€ sunscreen. The texture looked thick and goopy, left a clear white cast, and started pilling later on. My friend replied, saying the girl used too much and that ā€œa little goes a long way.ā€ She uses retinol and vitamin C regularly, so I was kind of surprised to hear that from her. The truth is, the girl in the video actually used the right amount. But I’ve realized a lot of people still think sunscreen only needs a tiny dot. I’ve even seen reviews of Asian sunscreens where people say one or two pumps ā€œfelt enough.ā€ Honestly, I wish that were true 😭 I use Asian sunscreens too, and while they’re way better than most Western formulas, I’d gladly give up sunscreen altogether if I could. It’s the one step I wish I could skip, every single day. Anyway, I think I’ll get my friend a skincare package for her birthday this year—with a few good sunscreens inside. Maybe that’ll help shift her mindset. Here’s hoping. #SkincareCommunity #SPF #AsianSunscreen #SkinTips #Skincare
