You are not alone! It can be so beyond difficult & the silence can be deafening. The sleep deprivation, isolation, potential poverty, & often anxiety & depression can be overwhelming & devastating!
I had 24/7 custody of my (like adopted) son for 2 years. He has a rare terminal disease, nonverbal autism, seizures, insomnia, a minimal immune system, gi issues, and other health conditions. He was/is not in school but is supposed to have respite & nursing. Due to the setup, we didn’t have help, so I was sleeping less than 1 h most nights, was without food 2d or more many times & couldn’t get my meds (but ensured everyone had theirs), was assaulted, etc.
I’m grateful for every sec & that he’s with his mom (as that is part of her path & so she has time with him), & that I can still be there.
Please feel free to reach out/dm me!
Hope that you have a beautiful day filled with light & love! Remember to take a second for yourself and breathe! Mahalo!
