I have this wood-frame house built in the early 90s, and instead of a proper concrete foundation, the builder used cinderblock pylons to deal with the slope of the land. On one side of the house, the pylons are only 1–2 blocks tall, but on the other side they’re stacked 9–11 blocks high. The only thing holding them together is the sill plate, so there’s not much lateral support. Now the house is starting to lean! I’ve attached a few pictures that show what I mean. Has anyone dealt with this kind of situation? Would the only real solution be to lift the entire house and build a proper footer and masonry base? I’m worried that would cost a fortune, but I’m open to any ideas or other solutions before the lean gets worse. 😮‍💨😔 #HomeRepair #FoundationIssues #DIYHome #HomeOwnership #Home #HomeMaintenanceRepair
