my son is 44 and I spanked him a couple of times when he was young. if you ask him about it he doesn't remember me ever spanking him, but did a couple of times for getting on roof of house and then couldn't get back down when he was like 7 spanked him so he would not do it and fall off roof, but he doesn't remember it.
