I lived there for 12 years,I am not Spanish but the island was enchanting. I remember then, the issue was going on with the electricity, some people did not have water in certain parts of the island ,because it was running by electric pump,so if they did not have electric, they did not have water. I am not living back in the states,again it is beautiful island and the people are very nice,I did learn the language and how to cook just like them,which is a plus. I do visit there now and then,but I hope they fix this problem for the people,it is hard to live without electricity.
