Dealership Tried to Charge $7K for a $125 Fix?!

All of the Dealerships are "SCUMBAGS, CROOKS, & VULTURES" Do NOT TRUST ANY OF THEM ! I was leaking Prestone- Anti Freeze, under my engine. I took it to the local dealership. after they checked out my vehicle, Customer Service, some young kid, told me that it was my "Head" that was cracked & that it needed to be replaced. I asked how much, he quoted me a $ 1,700.00 quote. I told him that I would go& pick up my car & get a 2nd opinion.he stayed quiet. I took my car over to a mechanic friend, he inspected the vehicle. He said it's Not the "Head". He said it was the double "Thermostat" housing, that I went to buy at "Auto Zone" My friend I talked the new "Thermostat" housing, parts & labor $ 65.00 Dollars ! I strongly recommend to get your own mechanic ! Someone that you know & perhaps trust a little more better. Dealerships are "Scam Artists" They will lie to make $$$

I had a Toyota Corolla took it to the dealership after the warranty was up for a signal light that went in the mirror on passenger side they quoted me $650. They wanted to change the whole mirror I said, forget it and they wouldn’t pass it inspection so I went home went on Amazon ordered a bulb, pulled the mirror out and replaced the bulb and it cost me $12.

Dealerships are trained, programmed to do a lot of suggestive selling to their customers ! they might be working for Commission ? Then they try to scare you that the problem is only going to get worse, if the problem is Not attended to ASAP ! There favorite "Line" is If you don't pay me now, you will pay me later, plus more ! I have heard that one so many times ! Give me a break ! Dealerships are money hungry, money grabbing Vultures for naive people that fall for their trap !
