Why do fish die quickly after being caught?
Caught 6 fish today, all 3 big ones died in my bucket. Is it lack of oxygen or is my water too hot in this summer heat? What am I doing wrong here? #fishing #keepfish #fishcare #summerfishing

usually that's from bait fisherman got hooked and they bleed out. be the fly practice catch and release. I can have a 30 fish day and not one dies live to fight another day. have a great day

I had a Channel cat that we threw in the back of my buddies dad's truck in the fall and the back had about ten gallons of water in the back and that cat lived thru a Michigan fall and froze prob 5 times thawed out and was still alive a few weeks later.

Depends on the species of fish. Sone don't die and can live out of water for a good amount of time.

Justifiable
Got a 48 quart cooler. We drilled two little holes at the top to thread the hose thru for aerators. It makes a PERFECT livewell.
