My cousin was raised thinking his mother was his sister. He is the product of date rape and his “mom/sister” had him when she was 16. Her parents (his grandparents) legally adopted him.

I am sure it is very heart breaking for you. but please try and sit down and have a family meeting and see what really happened when you were conceived because it some places times were very tough and you weren't lost in the system somewhere or abused your whole life.

yes my husband found is aunt was his mother and his mom was his aunt. come to fine out his aunt didn't wanted him because the man married didn't want any kids. it was hard for him take.

Found out my “uncle” was my dad when I was 11. I felt betrayed for a while but it gets easier. Knowing the truth, you have the option and opportunity to build whatever relationship that you want with her. Doesn’t mean you have to call her mom

I mean, it doesn't change anything. Your relationships with your "step sister" and the woman you call mom can stay the same. Just because a title changes doesn't mean the person does. Just continue life as you always have. If you have questions, ask them. If you're afraid the answers will change things, don't ask.

How old are you? If your relationship is good with your step sister, don't rock the boat. Let the conversation flow, It's mostly likely difficult conversation to have, and explain.
