Everyone posts the Swiss Alps. Sometimes the Italian side. But nobody talks about the German Alps, like they’re a footnote. I stood at Königssee, waiting for the ferry, watching the mountains cut into the lake’s glass surface. No influencers, no crowds—just a handful of hikers and the sound of water lapping against the dock. It’s quieter here, and maybe that’s why it gets overlooked. Or maybe it’s because it doesn’t fit the postcard idea of ‘Alps’ we’re sold. But I’ll take the silence. The fog that doesn’t clear for your photo. The feeling that you’re somewhere that doesn’t need to prove anything. Sometimes the best places are the ones nobody brags about. #Travel #HiddenEurope #TravelWithoutCrowds
