The Drug Problems of the World
Cocaine, heroin, Adderall, Xanax. Fentanyl. It’s all running rampant among us. It’s a killer, and an effective one too. We spend billions a year fighting a war that we fund ourselves. The pharmaceutical industry is one of corporate greed, as Macklemore said, “Got anxiety, better go and give him a Xanax Focus, give him Adderall, sleep, give him Ambien.” They don’t have your best interests in mind. It’s all about the money. We need to do something. I am done of watching friends and family die from overdoses from addictions that began with literal gateway drugs that were prescribed by physicians. Hell, I was prescribed Ritalin when I was 5 for my ADHD. I’m done seeing people die senselessly. If you are a drug addict, it's not a matter of if you will die, it's when. My son got pain pills from a Dr when he was 18 for a bad back. Later I had put him in 2 rehabs. Then he did heroin. Again rehab 2 more times. He then at age 33 found fentanyl and by 34 he was dead. It was his last relapse and my heart is forever broken 💔

Well..as an addiction nurse..I'll tell you, Fentanyl is the killer. Ritalin isn't killing people. Childhood trauma is causing people to do drugs. To numb those memories, to fill those receptors.

Im an addiction counselor in LA and I just found out 2 days ago that my 38 year old sister in Florida died of a fentanyl overdose and is in a morgue in south Florida as a Jane Doe. I had to verify her tattoos to ID her. I tried everything to get her into a program and the drugs were more convincing than me.

speaks to who we are as a society. everything has been designed for instant reward. we want results without the work. quick fixes to problems that has took years to develop. You were physically or sexually assaulted growing up? Then take this pill to manipulate your brain chemicals and mask the symptoms of the problem. That's the standard model practice in doctor's offices across the US. Without a doubt cognitive behavioral therapy should be first with pharmaceuticals being a last resort.

my husband is o e of the few that honestly needs a low dose Xanax there are some that truly and honestly need it.he wakes.up with a.nervous stomach to even go to work the next day that he has been working for 4 yrs ..we still need to keep the ones in mind that truly need it he has struggled with this for years and has n finally fou d help In the last few months.because he was afraid of the judgement that would come on him

Time to legalize everything I make. everybody make their own decisions and be responsible for their own choices. plain and simple just like they did with alcohol. they're never going to win the war on drugs. it's the biggest failed war in human history
