Good article. The shroud of Turin has extensive evidence to support it being Jesus Christ and dating to the first century and Jerusalem and the time of year ( passover) to date, and the discoveries match the descriptions provided in the Gospels providing a high level of credibility for both.

While I believe the shroud is from the 1st century, it doesn’t matter if it covered Jesus. I’ve always been fascinated with the shroud. What does matter is that Jesus died for us sinners so we can have eternal life in heaven.

It doesn't matter what science says. The blind will follow anything, Christianity began as a cult. The only difference between a cult and a religion is the number of followers! The Bible would be classified as historical fiction in literary sense, some facts wrapped up into a mostly fictionalized story!

If they’re saying it’s ‘super hard to fake’ and ‘probably wouldn’t be added by a forger,’ that still means it can be faked, and a forger could add it. That’s not proof—it’s an assumption that they wouldn’t. This shows some bias. Maybe it’s real, maybe it’s fake, but the real concern is how quickly people jump on the ‘real’ train without checking where the tracks actually lead.

The shroud idea doesn’t fit with scripture. Read: John 19:38-42 and John 20:1-10 concerning linen STRIPS and the cloth that was around Jesus head. They were separate - not one piece of linen. Jesus is real …… the shroud of Turin—-don’t think so.
