Teachers Are Ditching Class—Literally

Teaching is a challenging job. Unless you or a loved one is a teacher, you can not imagine how hard they work and what little gratitude they receive within numbers of districts.

If parents would do their job, teachers could probably do theirs!

there is no discipline of children allowed, this is the main problem,then their is all the b.s. inclusion which disrupts the learning of the smart and gifted kids which is also a pain. then their is the dumbing down of the curriculum for the low and slow which forces the bright ones not to acheive their potential. public schools suck

I retired from teaching last year. I could handle the kids but they doubled up the freaking paperwork. I never signed up to spend 2 hours a day documenting forms

I agree. Teachers are being told to pass students they know need to be held back. Which makes it hard on the next teacher because the student was not ready.

Bring back schools the way it was in the 60'S and 70'S. make parents accountable for their bad ass kids. stop putting everyone in the same class. Bring back the dumb and special needs class rooms. everyone is not the same. stop failing these kids on purpose. parents do your job its not all up to the teachers. teachers do your job and let these parents know up front if their kid is cutting it or not. don't wait until the end of the school year.

They get paid enough. Take them phones away and make teaching enjoyable again. No lessons should be done online only on paper.

Finally, people are getting it. Teachers can not stop bad behavior from home.

Pay teachers like the rockstars they are. Our smartest kids should want to be teachers because they make bank

Not just in the UK, but here as well. Bad parenting is a large part of it.
