Because they are going up so fast and cheaply made. Inspectors not in the realtors' pockets find dozens of faults in every new house, no matter the price range, after they pass the recommended inspector from their realtor or bank.

They use a lower quality wood. they're not using the same type of plywood to use in presswood. they're putting them up with less quality wood and not using as good of designs as they used to. they're not built to last the way they used to be
