Pet Costs Are Out of Control!

It is ridiculous how organized groups have bought up all the vet offices! I can't take my dog to the vet without a bill under 100 dollars anymore! My dog is going on 13 and she will be my last! I love dogs and have owned them my whole life, but I just can't afford the vet bills anymore! I feel sorry for older people on a budget!

You can't even afford a pet now.Its cruel to get one if you can't afford to take it to the vet.

Yes it is difficult. But, learn how to cut cat nails at home. Keep the cat indoors to completely avoid injuries and fleas. make sure cats and dogs are spayed and neutered immediately Vaccines are once per year. Keep them inside and especially during bad weather. Plan ahead for emergencies. Also don't spend money on nonsense so you can take care of and hold onto your pet. They depend on you. Don't let them wind up in a shelter because you didn't pay attention in their care. It is everyones job to protect them and prevent full shelters. They all need a good home. Oh brush them at home and feed them well so they live a long time. Good Luck

Vets try to shake you down for a bunch of tests. They'll try and guilt you into spending a bunch of money on unnecessary stuff. it was costing me $300 to $400 every time I took my dog in there!!! I said NO to a bunch of tests and extra shots. My dog is going on 16 now and very healthy without all that extra stuff!

I've run a recue for 17 years. The price of vets has tripled. And most don't care about the animal, just the money.

And this is why people need to do the math before getting a dog or a cat. There’s more to owning a dog than just walking it and feeding it.

I just went to the vet for his annual exam. Labs and seeing the doctor to renew his medication $685

Try Tractor Supply they have PetVet come to many of their stores prices for vaccines including great package deals and NO charge for office type visit or admin costs! I take all 4 dogs and 5 cats to them. The only time I got to a Veterinarian hospital if pet is sick. Nice to go in knowing what the cost will be upfront. Many Tractor supplies have both weekend and or weekday vet apt available. And all of ur records are on line with easy access! 😆
