Snow Lake looked like a screensaver—blue, cold, perfect. I hiked up alone, thinking I’d feel strong, maybe even free. Instead, every step just made the silence louder. No one to talk to, no one to see me. I ate my sandwich on a rock and tried to feel accomplished. But all I could think about was how easy it is to look brave online, and how hard it is to admit you’re lonely in a place this beautiful. I took a photo I never posted. Sometimes, the real view is just how much you wish someone else was there. #Travel #SoloTravelTruth #HikingAlone
