I thought the photos were exaggerated—until I stood there, blinking against the white clay and the kind of orange that makes your eyes ache. Deadvlei is silent in a way that’s almost hostile. No birds, no wind, just the crunch of your own shoes and the sun pressing down like it wants you gone. Everyone posts the same shot: the dead trees, the Martian sky. But no one tells you how small you feel, or how the heat makes your thoughts slow and strange. I didn’t feel inspired. I felt exposed. Like the landscape was daring me to admit I didn’t belong there, and maybe nowhere else, either. #Travel #TravelWithoutFilters #NamibiaUnfiltered
