I've never been to a wedding that has assigned seating . It's always whoever walks into the reception area first gets to pick first and so on. Yes, call us uncivilized hillbillies. If we want someone to squeeze in with us, we just steal a chair from somewhere else. Everyone has a good time.

No, but there were a couple where I WANTED to. Made food and tons of desserts, flower arraingments and was seated in the very BACK,behind a pillar. The only reason I didn't was because I had dishes and other things I did not want to leave them.

I thought my cousins had a weird setup too they did half and half at each table so like half the groom's family half the wipes family except none of us knew each other and we all ended up immigrating to other tables anyway although I would have never left how classless

I would and did stay at my granddaughters wedding even though I felt like I wasn't important, because ultimately that is my granddaughter, and I love her very much💕

I was mother of the bride. my husband and I were seated way to the left of wedding party. traditionally we'd be seated infront of bride. But SILs mom was seated in front of wedding party. Guess who arranged seating chart? SIL and his Mom!!!!!
