SSDI Denies Mom With Cancer—Here’s Why

I’m sad she is passing away with such a horrible disease, but she should have planned better.

I’m on SSI and wasn’t getting a lot but before that my application was pending I finally got SSI due to being hit by a car that ran the red light I should have been dead now that I have heart failure and still don’t qualify for SSDI because of my work credits I know some people who get disability and never worked and there’s nothing wrong with them

Don’t let them fool you! She did NOT work her whole life. She had approximately 22 years she could have worked and only worked 9! Babies, no babies! Where’s her husbands support? Baby daddies?

No if someone does not have enough credits SSDI will denie benefits and when you do retire you will only receive the amount your credits you worked for.

I'm a disabled veteran, entered at 17 disabled at 18, and cannot qualify for any social security benefit although I'm a senior citizen.

Sad, if she was an illegal, she would get the best care.😲

You have to get 1 of the lawyers that get paid, once you get approved. applying on your own is hard, 🙏

I've worked since 1986. I've applied 4 times and denied. I have depression and anxiety since 2001. I see the same psychiatrist and same meds. I've been to several specialists for chronic pain. I lost my job in October. decided I was going to file for disability again. I got an attorney called Newlin Disability from Indiana it popped up on FB. last month I lost my food stamps because I didn't do the work searching part. I told ss department I was not going to work anymore that I filed for disability in Indiana. They sent me application for disability I guess they worked together. I received a check in the mail for back retro. I'm surprised of the amount I'll be getting, very impressive . I think approval is all about timing, planning, updating and being 55. 🌸
