Lake Cliff Park in Oak Cliff isn’t just a peaceful spot for a stroll—it’s layered with wild stories from Dallas’ past. Once the “Coney Island of the Southwest,” this park had roller coasters, a dance pavilion, and boat rides, all built to draw crowds off the streetcar line. Fast forward to 2025, and crews pulled nine cars out of the lake—some missing since the ’80s! Turns out, the calm water hides a lot more than just fish. It’s wild to think how much history (and mystery) sits right in the middle of our city. Anyone else have memories or stories from Lake Cliff? #Travel #DallasHistory #LakeCliffPark
