A Buffalo Wild Wings server in Virginia got more than she bargained for after refusing to let an elderly couple order a kid’s meal (rules are rules, y’all). Bottom line is that us elders simply can’t eat as much as we used to. That’s why smart restaurants either allow anyone to order a kids meal, or better yet, have some senior friendly meals available.

Yes, I’d eat them, and allow them to order off the kids menu. They are probably on Social Security and have very little money. The US has lost there graciousness. I don’e blame the waitress but she should have went to the manager and express their concerns. If she did that and the manager said no. Well then, the manager should be living somewhere outside the US. Ridiculous!

Anyone serving the public has to learn how to manage exceptions. Older people have small appetite’s and finances. She could tell the manager the situation for approval.

Maybe they should be called kids meals or senior meals or just small meals and let anybody who wants to buy it buy it. What's the difference? you're right they still get the money, they still get paid for the dinner . it's just what they want to eat and what they can afford 😲

My wife and I are seniors and CANT eat as much as we used to and don’t want to always take home food. If I want a kids meal it SHOULDNT matter what age I am. It’s on the menu and that’s what I want to eat, so where was the manager? I wouldn’t have left any tip and would never come back!

There are a variety of reasons why they ordered the kids meals, money, less calories, not as hungry but the reason dosen’t matter. I’ve never heard of such a thing as not being able to order whatever you want. That restaurant is going to lose customers.

Why not let them order from the children’s menu? They didn’t ask for a free meal and BWW doesn’t offer senior discounts. With so many seniors having trouble making ends meet , I would assume they were trying to break up the monotony by going out to eat , wi m r bank account but not break the bank either. After paying for a meal for two , maybe they didn’t have money to tip the waitress, but they wanted to show their gratitude so they tipped with tomatoes 🍅.
