I would have liked to see Albertsons buy them. Kroger has gone so downhill, it’s not my go to place anymore. Produce is so gross, like more brown than green, limited brands of a same product, and I inevitably have to go to another store because they are out of stock or no longer even carrying the product.

Prices were lower at both stores during the time they might get the merger. Smiths had a lot better sales than they are having now. That was all a game yo get people to believe the merger was for the best.

Krogers leaves a lot to be desired.. bigger isn’t better.. it’s a union store tells you right there it ain’t working. From rotting produce to limited grocery options, to spoiled meat , and crappy customer service..

Kroger's is a mess from the top down, the old saying the fish stinks from the head first, those people don't know the difference between a broiler a fryer and a roaster!

I quit Kroger 6 years ago. When chicken was gray I said no way. When potatoes were rotting from the inside out I said no way. Both consistently. I kept going hoping for the best and let down every single time.
