He is very sick. This may be Charles' last year. He, as a father, not King, needs to make resolutions involving his son. Charles needs to know what love, compassion, and empathy are all about. Charles needs to stop being egotistical and ruthless because one day, he may regret it, especially on his "death bed."

With or without cancer ,as a cancer survivor twice at 78 , it beats the hell out of u bodies. Cancer makes u weak ,fatigued to the max. I'm still on chemo from Breast removal In february. Charles will get thru this. Walking with difficulty can come under normal circumstances. All of us r aging.

I think it's both. like the song ( and Churchill )says "Quiet desperation is the English way" He's carrying on until he can't. I can't think of a more fitting ending.
