Why Dollar Tree Feels Less Like a Steal Now

No disrespect intended but dollar tree needs to get a new name because they are not a dollar store anymore everything is so expensive and they are not high quality merchandise so I go to dollar general they have name brands for cheaper prices or Walmart they have good prices ❤️❤️❤️

People may cut down Dollar Tree but I worked there for 7 yrs. This is where people go to get their food to eat, Their toiletries and everything else. It's a shame that the prices went up for the ones that shop here all the time, not because they want to, but because they have to. Sad.

don't go to the dollar tree, all they sell is overpriced junk

A can of peaches is now a $1.50 when other stores are $1.00. They raised everything to the point that shoppers are going elsewhere.

They should have let - Dollar Tree - alone let it at $1.00 - but someone got greedy- made it $1.25 & now we are up to $1.50 - what started out to be a store to help out the poorer people - is NOT anymore. Come on - you know as well as l - some of that "stuff" isn't worth a $1.00 - let alone $1.25 or $1.50. Some of it is- poster boards for kids projects - cheaper than Walmart. Some school supplies- are cheaper. The DT stores with refrigerator in have great deals on frozen name brand pizza- LG ones. Leave a GOOD THING ALONE!!!!👍

Dollar tree will never get my business again after now seeing they raised prices again to 1.50 they are pulling the same gouging scam that 98 cents stores did kept raising prices time after time till they went under & filed BK, I'm done with dollar tree period.

I used to shop here all the time, but I make fewer trips her because of the rising price

they just closed one down where I live and the manager told me they were taking and eating food like there was nobody's Business... the looting took them out

Dollar Tree is going to go under, they are scamming individuals..here is example at store in Middletown Delaware, got a box of tissues (off brand) 175 tissues already imprinted on top of box 1.25 few days later bought another box noticed on my receipt this time I paid 1.50 looked at top of box and over the 1.25 price imprinted was a red dot circle, sticker that’s dishonestly…at my local Roses Department store you can buy box of 200 tissues for 1.25 Wednesday is senior discount so another 10 percent off..I can purchase many items from Roses that are cheaper than Dollar Tree….but shoppers watch for the red dot stickers

I paid $ 12.00 for a drink dispenser at the Dollar Tree.You can still find good buys. I bought a km ok for for cutting meat for $ 1.25 . The other stuff for $ 1.50. Dollar General is no better . They wanted $ 5.75 for a large container 4 pm of Mac n cheese when Safeway was only charging $ 4.39. We will see how these stores hold up they seem to get good business..The .99 store looked to have good business also but is now closed up as tight as a drum.
