Ozempic & New Diabetes Meds: Big Changes!

Metformin damage my kidneys to the point I nearly ended up on dialysis. My doctor got a little concerned and took me off it. I was placed on Ozempic. It early yet, but so far not bad.

I’ve been on ozempic for about 3-4 years. I was on it before it became popular for weight loss. I am what my endocrinologist calls a type 1.5 diabetic. Which means I’m insulin resistant but also insulin dependent. All the type 2 medications don’t work for me or they make me so sick I can’t function. So I have an omnipod for my insulin. The main goal when I was put on ozempic was to get my A1C down. It was at 11. So I first started with Trulicity. It made me so sick. So she took me off of that and put me on ozempic. It did make me sick, but it wasn’t as bad. The Trulicity kept me sick. After 2 weeks I wasn’t sick. I did notice both my weight and A1C coming down. When I asked the dr about that she said weight loss could be a side effect. Well then it became popular for weight loss and everyone I knew was wanting it for that. I even had trouble getting it from the pharmacy. When I asked the pharmacist why, he said that it was being abused for the weight loss and others who was taking

I’m not on Ozempic , I’ve been on Trulicity and trying Monjero but the side effects on my stomach and causing constipation are making me question about taking it

been on metformin for 10 years no problem blood test every 6 months..now taken with Ozempic

read up on side effects I took it for 5 yrs till I could stand the gut pains and gas buildup. Not everyone will have problems, but everyone i know that took it has serious problems.

Yes I was overweight damn near my whole life , took ozempic tried a couple other's ended up taking Maunjaro been taking it for a couple years ago was 303 lbs now weigh 170-175 🙏🙏

As I have repeatedly said, a peraon will have to weight the pros and cons.

These types of injections do help you lose weight and they lower your diabetes. I for one could not do Ozempic for the side effects, but I've been on Trizipidine and it has made me lose weight and dropped my numbers. So why don't insurance companies cover them? Mine covered Ozempic but all the others no.
