Years ago, my world stopped when my dad had sudden cardiac pain. We rushed him to the hospital, and found out he had a 98% blockage. Angioplasty was planned for the next morning. While he was in his private room, my sister called. Dad wanted to talk, and as he was speaking, the cardiologist arrived. The doctor told our family to go home and rest, saying the nurse would take care of him. But Dad insisted, 'Please make everyone go and let xx(me) only stay. My daughter is a tigress. She is my only child who doesn't cry. Everyone else will be tense, even my elder daughter was crying on the phone.' I smiled at him and spoke to the doctor. After he left, I told Dad I'd grab a coffee downstairs. The moment I got downstairs, I just completely broke down. Seeing him there on that ICU bed, I just couldn't hold it together. I love him so incredibly much I cried and cried. After washing my face, I went back. Dad asked, 'What took you so long? You must have been on the phone, right?' I just said 'obviously,' and he smiled. I kissed him goodnight. This is my secret: my parents think they've raised the strongest daughter, but they don't know I do cry, especially for the people I care about and love. #FamilyLove #FamilyStories #FamilyFirst #FamilyRelationships #ParentalLove #HeartAttack #ICU #FamilySupport #LifeMoments #HeartfeltStory
