Medicare’s About to Shake Up DME Rules!

Nothing they do is improving quality. Just making their buddies richer

This is not a bad thing. There were fraudulent companies calling Medicare pts. with offers of free lift chairs, scooters, walkers, blood pressure monitors, even if you didn't need one. They would hound you.

As a T1D diabetic on an insulin pump and cgm, it is already hard enough to get these items covered and shipped to us. You are allowed only so much insulin and supplies despite issues if these supplies are defective or you need more insulin. You are at the mercy of the manufacturer to replace defective supplies with a 2 week wait. Maybe try making access easier for patients who need dme supplies to manage their disease and medication needed to stay alive.

that's going to suck. had a complications from a cancer treatment. I ended up paying about 250.00 a month just to be able to speak a month after insurance. great

the need to reduce Part B premiums and deductibles. Also when a doctor orders a medication, the insurance should not require so many hoops to jump through. if you didn't need it, they won't order it.

In my first hand experience, including a job as fraud and abuse identifier for Medicare part B I think DME fraud is the most likely avenue in the Medicare program.

they need to put lock and showers on the list for being approved and allow more companies to come in and do them not these walk-in tubs he's walking tubs are a safety hazard for a lot of people especially for those who have Parkinson's real bad and dementia

I’m not happy about this. I am do medical equipment special needs plan and the last year year and a half. I’ve had to fight so much to get a walker and took three months the walker I had. I’m a fall risk on top of that. I’m vertigo I have a fall risk guard and help you if you fall that is Wi-Fi not just 300 feet from my house and I was falling more and I threatened to steal him. This is terrible. I’ve had United complete since 2013 and I do not agree with what the hell is going on and plus that I got Sunshine long-term care in the community and my caseworker can’t understand it and said the people who do belong with they are being slammed with it when we are 100% eligible is the thing you can crippled on me and I wear braces and I live alone and over my dead body do I call quality of care to go into a nursing facility over my dead body!!
