when HBO came out with the reduex, they said they wanted to stay true as possible to the books. So HBO needs to look at the character descriptions JKR gave to each. I don't think Paapa Essiedu meets that description, unless they do a lot of creative editing and fx work. If staying true to the books as they say, you'd think that goes beyond just the story telling, characters are a huge part of the storyline. HBO didn't take ESSIEDU because he is a good actor or matches Snape looks and attitude. Everyone knows that was a DEI hire, thus HBO needs to come out and admit it's not about staying true to JKR works. Then everything moves on, and hopefully it's a good series. I person don't care who plays what, as long as it's good. Just don't lie to me, like their trying to do
