I Saw These Weird Things On A Wall In Italy 😁🤔 Need Answers
I saw these weird things on a wall while I was in Italy. They look like big metal things bolted into the buildings. Someone told me they might be anti-seismic braces designed to keep the structures steady during earthquakes. Does anyone know if that's what they actually are? Plaster anchors, attached by a cable, to keep the structure intact despite age and to stay strong during earthquakes. Italy has some VERY OLD buildings.

You see a lot of old brick buildings in the south and in California where there’s earthquakes that just had big square washers and a bolt head same thing it holds all the bricks to the frame that’s just holding all the plaster to the frame
